Class Timeline
For this assignment the entire class had to work together to create a timeline of the 1700 and 1800's in America. We were broken into multiple groups, and each group worked on a different aspect of the final timeline. I was in the primary source group, this meant that my group was in charge of finding primary sources for each of the events on the timeline. A primary source is something from the original event that hasn't been altered, this could be an image, a quote, or even a transcript.

Overall I feel like working on the timeline was a really good experience. I am the kind of person who likes to be in control and this assignment pushed me towards the idea that sometimes it is okay to let other people take charge. Since I was a primary source finder I just found the primary sources then handed them off to someone else. That was another big challenge for me since I like to just do everything. This timeline was a really great learning experience for me. It took a lot for me to be able to let someone else take control, and I really didn't enjoy it. In the back of my mind I kept thinking about how it wasn't going to get done in the end, when in reality we really weren't behind at all. Ultimately I did step up and take a bit of control, but I am quite proud that I was able to go a significant amount of time without taking control.
